What is Text-4-Info?

Text-4-Info is a program designed for apartment communities to generate leads while delivering instant property information to potential residents via text messaging and mobile internet.

What is Text-2-Community?

Text-2-Community is a quick way to mass communicate with your mobile subscribers via text messaging through IRIO’s mobile platform. To get started, login to your IRIO account and click on the Text-2-Community tab. It’s easy. It works.

How do I send a text message (How does it work)?

To send a text message; open the Text Message program in your mobile phone; in the "To:" field where you would normally enter a phone number, type in 47464. Navigate to the "Message:" field and type in the property KEYWORD (Example keyword: “APTDEMO”).

How does a potential resident receive the property information on their phone?

A potential resident will see a text KEYWORD in your marketing materials that will prompt them to send a text message for instant information; the mobile user should simply open the Text Message program in their mobile phone and in the "To:" field where they would normally enter a phone number, type in 47464. Next, navigate to the "Message:" field and type in the property keyword (Example keyword: “APTDEMO”). Hit Send. If entered correctly, they will immediately receive a text message back asking for the specific property information of interest (Example: 1 = 1 Bedroom info). The mobile user will then receive a text message with the floor plan information and a list of options to choose from as well as a custom property mobile internet site.

Can all cell phones use Text-4-Info?

Approximately 97% of all cell phones in the United States support text messaging.

What if I don’t receive a response back after sending a text message?

If you sent a text message to IRIO and haven’t received a message back, here are a couple ways to troubleshoot this issue:

1. Double check to make sure you have input the correct KEYWORD, also make sure the SHORT CODE that the message was sent to is 47464.
2. You may have changed your carrier settings to block text messages from being sent to your phone. If this is the case, simply contact a customer representative for your carrier account (AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, etc) and ask them to unblock premium text messages sent to your phone.

Will the mobile user be charged anything when sending a text message?

No. There is not a premium charge for mobile users to interact with IRIO’s service; however message and data rates may apply (depending on their wireless plan and carrier).

How long will it take for a text message to be sent back?

On average, it should take about 5-15 seconds to receive an automated message back to your phone depending on the quality of connection your phone has with its network at this point in time.

Do I need to download any additional software to my computer or cell phone?

No.

Is Text-4-Info currently available in Canada?

Currently, IRIO services are only available in the United States.

Where is my property information coming from?

Property information can be manually uploaded or integrated with your property management software. IRIO has numerous feed integration options including web services or management software, FTP uploads, private or shared databases, email, and more. Or if there’s an integration option we don’t currently support, we are open to exploring other options to utilize whatever integration format works best for your unique situation.
